1. How do I enable/disable Shake?
To enable or disable WeChat Shake, tap Me > Settings > General > Manage Discover > enable/disable Shake.
2. How do I add friends using WeChat Shake?
Enter WeChat and tap Discover at the bottom, select Shake, then begin shaking your phone!
You will be connected to someone else in the world who is shaking his/her phone at the same time! You may choose to ignore or respond to this user. To meet someone new, simply shake your phone again.
3. Why am I restricted from using Shake?
Your use of Shake may be restricted due to you having incomplete or illegal profile information, using an unofficial version of WeChat, using Shake too frequently, or being reported for violating platform rules. Depending on the restriction reason, you can try to fix the issue by correctly completing your personal information, deleting any account information or Moments that violate rules, or taking a break from this feature before using it again.
Note: If you are restricted from this feature because your account has been found in violation of rules, such as for lewd content or illegal marketing, then the restriction cannot be lifted at this time. Please be patient and wait for the restriction to be removed.
