In these cases, payment card verification is used to verify the parent or legal guardian's consent for their child to use WeChat. WeChat supports most payment card types including VISA, Mastercard, UnionPay, American Express, Discover, JCB, and more. When verifying a payment card, you may incur a temporary charge up to 1 EUR (or equivalent value in your currency) which will be refunded upon verification. Additionally, your payment card data is safely and securely transmitted to our third-party European payment processor Adyen and your payment card data will not be bound to your account nor stored on WeChat's servers.
