After a group is created, you can share it using a QR code.

From within a chat, tap icon "..." in the top-right, then choose Group QR Code. Tap the "…" icon in the top right of this screen and choose Save Image to save it to your camera roll or choose Send to Chat.  People can now join your group by scanning this code.
