WeChat supports two kinds of payments: Red Packets and Transfers.
How to send a Red Packet:
From a chat, press the "+" button in the corner, and choose Red Packet. Enter an amount and hit Send.
How to send a transfer:
Open a chat, hit the "+" button in the corner, choose Transfer, enter an amount, then hit Transfer.
Tip 1: I just accepted a Red Packet. Where's my money?
It was deposited in your WeChat Pay's balance. To see it, tap WeChat Pay from the Me tab.
Tip 2：How can I top up the money in my balance?
To do this, you'll need to add your bank card to your WeChat Wallet.
From the Me tab, choose WeChat Pay > Wallet > Cards. Tap Add a Card, fill in the required fields, and you're good to go.
Once you bind one bank account with your account, any other accounts bound must match the registered name supplied on the first account.
Tip 3: What to do if there's no Red Packets button.
Currently, WeChat Pay is only supported in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. But hang in there, maybe we'll get to your country soon!
If you really want to try it, try switching your language to Simplified Chinese and ask a friend registered in Chinese Mainland to send you a Red Packet. You should have the feature after that.
