WeChat Out requires your calling number to be formatted like this: international access code + country code + (area code) + phone number.
Examples:
• +86 020 400-999-6666 or 0086 020 400-999-6666
• +1 888 555-1234 or 001 (888) 555-1234
Tips on entering a phone number:
1. International access codes vary from different regions, for example, 001 for USA, 0081 for Japan, 0044 for British, and 0086 for China. In order to keep things simple, WeChat Out replaces the international access code with an "+" symbol.
2. Please tap the country code on the top left corner or enter a country code to place a call. Make sure you've selected or entered a right country code before inputting the phone number.
3. Please delete the special IP code in the front of operator's phone numbers, such as 17951 or 1551. Just enter the country code, area code and phone number to start calling.
4. Please enter the country code and area code as required, otherwise your phone call may fail to reach the receiver since WeChat Out cannot identify the source region for incoming calls. Please enter the country code and area code when calling to a public service number, such as +86 020 400-999-6666.
