File or data corruption may result from factors such as insufficient phone storage, file system errors, disk corruption, and hardware anomalies. If this happens, it is recommended to save your existing records and follow the steps below:
1. Clean up your phone's storage and uninstall apps you don't often use, ensuring that the available storage is greater than 1 GB.
2. Make sure your device system and WeChat are updated to their latest respective versions.
3. Restart WeChat and try to repair the corrupted data by:
Enter WeChat and go to Me > Settings > Help & Feedback > tap the Tool icon in the upper right corner > select Repair, then select the feature you want to repair.
Tip: If the above method doesn't help, you can try to uninstall and reinstall WeChat. However, any previous chat histories will be lost.
