By default, WeChat users will be able to add you to their contact lists through your WeChat ID or your linked mobile number.

To prevent others from adding you via WeChat ID or mobile number, follow the steps below:

1. Head over to the Me tab and select Settings. 

2. Tap Privacy > Methods for Friending Me, toggle the buttons so that it is turned off.
